My Story

Hello, my name is Jillian Yang.

I learned along the way in life that in order to spread love to others, remember to love yourself too. When your cup is full, you can sprinkle love to everyone else. That is how the name, Love Jillian, was born.

I am bilingual. Growing up, learning two languages at the same time became a norm for me. As a child, I learned how to code switch when I spoke to different people without realizing that I was code switching. As I grew older, I started to understand and see that these two languages are very different, and quite complicated in their own way. I want to bring children’s books with both languages I speak to life. 

The first book that I self published was a number book. I  wrote my book in “Hmonglish,” which is a mix of Hmong and English.

My Color and Number Activity books are now in print! They can be purchased in the shop section along with my number book. (My activity book is also written in ”Hmonglish.”)
